2014 Fantasy Football Spreadsheets Are Up!

The main reason to visit this site is the spreadsheets. Draft Day, Roster Management, Pick Em (with and without the spread).

And I'm happy to announce "The new spreadsheets are here! The new spreadsheets are here! I'm somebody."And they're all available under the Spreadsheets menu tab above.

Pick Em Tracking
All 17 weeks of the 2014 NFL schedule are in here. You just mark your team each week, and then come back and enter the scores to see how you did.  I use this to make my picks once each week, and then go off to the various contests (lots of free contests to join are listed to the right on the sidebar). I also track my survivor pools this way.

Your pick em uses the point spread? No problem. I have a spreadsheet for that too!

UPDATE 9/17/2014 - I've updated the two pick em spreadsheets with conditional formatting (winning team bolds after scores are entered) and tracking (for favorites and home team winners) is now automatic on the Records tab.

Draft Day
I take rankings from four sources (ESPN, NFL, Fox and Fantasy Pros) and average them for each position: QB, RB, WR, TE, K and D. I also have the current depth charts for the AFC and NFC.

One tool for your fantasy draft!

Roster Management
Once your drafts are over, you can use the roster management spreadsheet to manage your team. And you can customize the scoring for each.

OK, here's a hyperlink to get you to the same tab: SPREADSHEETS TAB!!

You're welcome.

This is my first year doing an ATS pool and I just found your sheets. Thank you so much, these are awesome.

Where are you getting "Odds" and "Favorite" information?

LOL btw thank you for the sheet, I'm trying to learn this stuff so I can possibly win Weekly Pick Em at work :)

I was just curious which website should I grab "favorites" and "odds" information from.

Anonymous (August 29) - glad they're helping!

Anonymous (September 16) - I get odds from Yahoo! Sports here: http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/odds

If you're unfamiliar with these charts, the team with the negative points is the favored team. In sports betting, they must win by those points or more. For example, in Week 3, the Atlanta Falcons are (-6 1/2) to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. So if you were betting in Last Vegas and you picked Atlanta to win, they would need to win by 6 1/2 points or more to "cover the spread".

Hope that helps!

That's exactly what I use the odds for. :-)

I also check out http://www.sbnation.com/ each week when I'm stuck on a pick to see what they're experts say.

I was filling in weeks 1 & 2 information to catch up and trying to update the record information for Home and started using this conditional format.... something you might find useful too? You could apply the same information if you just wanted to "make the winning team green"

Conditional Formatting
Manage Rules
New Rule
Use a formula to determine which cells to format

Formula: =J5>F5
Format... choose color green

Hit ok

now change the "Applies to" to be =$J$5:$J$24

This will help me when updating the "records" tab with Home Team data

Great idea! I applied conditional formatting to change the color of the checkbox to green in Column A if the pick is correct. I can definitely expand that feature. I could probably calculate the Favorites/Home records automatically in the Record tab too instead of entering by hand. Improvements for 2015 :-).

So I went ahead and updated the two Pick Em spreadsheets with automatic tracking (favorites and home team winners) and added conditional formatting (bolds the winner). The algebra threw me a few times but I think I've got it working now. Did it for both versions.

With over 2,000 downloads and two commenters, I'll be charging (a tiny fee) for these next year. :-)
